Originally two art deco apartments one above the other the finished home been dramatically transformed into a light-filled house with expansive spaces and seamless integration between internal and external areas.
The extension area of kitchen, dining and lounge is flooded with light from the courtyard and pool area. Sliding stacker doors enable the area to be substantially opened onto the courtyard and pool.
There are high levels of external wall, ceiling, internal wall and under floor and inter-floor insulation and a water tank. Passive hydronic heating is used throughout the house. This renovation/addition was designed by Donna Brzezinski of BG Architecture.
